BLUE SKIES SMILING AT ME
Up close, the moody layers of paint. Grey, blue, white with specks of a rusty yellow color. This painting has swirls of color that move around the canvas effortlessly.
My mood is so effected by cloudy days. There were many times during covid I was so sad and down like so many of you. One day, it was so dark and cloudy like a big storm was about to come in. I stood on my front steps and watched the grey clouds circle above my head, there was a cold breeze that swayed the branches in the trees. It was mid-day and it was dark, really dark. I could see a small break in the clouds. For a moment, it felt like someone was smiling down at me. So I went inside and picked up my paint brush. The paint flowed onto the canvas with ease. It felt good and I was happy.
